Who are we?

Soltena is a regional cluster for the circular economy and the ecological transition in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It is also a network of committed actors and houses a resource centre to support the actions, projects and innovations of companies and local authorities.

It has an operational team and network of companies offering expertise and practical environmental solutions in various areas including biodiversity, water, the circular economy, energy, air quality, and sites and soils.

With the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine and ADEME, Soltena carries out awareness raising work and supports companies and local authorities with their work in the circular economy (eco-design, industrial and regional ecology, material efficiency, etc.), the energy
transition (optimising bills, energy efficiency, renewable energies), as well as preserving the environment and natural resources (water transition, biodiversity, sustainable planning and environmental health).

Soltena also encourages the green economy in Nouvelle-Aquitaine by promoting solutions and the expertise of companies in the region, by creating environmental synergies and developing collaborative projects.

The network is now also opening up to Europe and participates in European projects such as the Interreg Sudoe Scaira project (coordinated by Aerospace Valley, 2024-2026) as a beneficiary partner. As an advisory structure within the project, the cluster
offers training to incubated start-ups, developed through its members’ expertise. Training includes “Integration of industrialisation” (road-map sustainability), “Measurement and the impact of an industrial project” (on the green transition and the region), as well
as the organisation of B2B meetings between start-ups and industrialists and B2F meetings between start-ups and funders.

To conclude, Soltena has created a space which is conducive to the creation of technical and commercial synergies and the implementation of collaborative, cross-cutting and innovative projects. It aims to encourage approaches with a positive impact while contributing to the creation of jobs and value in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
